The town of Naujan is a 1st class municipality with a total land area of 50.310 has (as of 2007 census), with a total of 49,279 registered voters (as of 2010) and population of 90,629 (as of Aug. 1,2007). It has the biggest land area in the whole of Oriental Mindoro, seconded by the town of Bongabong. It is second-most populated municipality with a total of 90,629 compared to the capital city of Calapan which has 116,976 as of the 2007 census.
