Comment for COA Report for Naujan for 2008

Thank you for the information on the 8 significant findings and I think there is a need to follow the auditor’s recommendations – inventory of property, plant and equipment (gosh, it’s 150.65M?). There should really be a comparison of what is really the actual versus what is recorded in the books. Are these really situated in the Municipal Hall of Naujan and being used by the town?

About the Supplies Inventory, baka naman po lahat ito ay to be charged to expense na, because they’re already consumed. Of course, we can not count as part of the inventory , something which is already consumed or used, unless used supplies were checked or surrendered, nandun pa din yung used packaging materials, like used markers, ballpens without inks, computer ink cartridges, etc, the amount is too material (1.79 million?), maybe we could ask for the details on how and what purpose these were utilized?

About the 2.4 million receivables, we should really establish if Naujan has legal claims on these. Baka naman po na collect na or we can not possibly collect na?

About number 5, I think there should be a follow up report on these since it is 4 years hence and we’re talking here of 5.3M worth of cements used for developmental projects or not.

I still hope that in the following years, COA rendered unqualified opinion on the audited financial statements of Naujan.

Just asking po., thanks…
